♬ 2025 SCHOLARSHIP
RECIPIENT Joshua Tiffany, bassoon The Nevada County Concert Band will
present the $1000 Jerry Foote Scholarship award at this Nevada County
Fair performance. He is a graduate
of Nevada Union High School, and plays oboe, bassoon, saxophone, and
piano. Josh will be attending Cal
Poly Humboldt to study biochemistry with a minor in music. Although music is not his major, he
intends to continue through school and community ensembles, teaching private
students, and seeking more performing opportunities.
Eventually, he intends to teach music as a volunteer and/or high
school music educator so he can spread his passion for classical music to
young musicians and strengthen the community of musicians. |
By becoming a FRIEND OF THE BAND, you will help provide new music, instrument
repair, venue rental, and mitigate other expenses that exist in our endeavor to
provide quality, free musical entertainment for Nevada County. Pledge to become instrumental in our
future!
